The role of silicone powder

Silicone powder can fuse with almost all types of thermoplastic plastics and is widely used in various thermoplastic processing processes. It is an upgraded product of general plastic lubricants such as EBS and silicone masterbatch plastic lubricants. It overcomes the weakness of traditional silicone oil as a plastic lubricant that is prone to precipitation.
Silicone powder plays a significant role in plastic processing, improving the flowability and demolding performance of plastic processing; Reduce torque, reduce equipment wear, facilitate mold filling, and reduce product defect rate. Significantly reduce friction coefficient, improve smoothness, improve surface gloss, enhance surface silk touch, and improve wear resistance and scratch resistance.
Silicone powder organosilicon plastic modifier is a dispersed lubrication modifier composed of high molecular weight organosilicon polymers as the main component and other functional additives. It has the characteristics of no precipitation and no slipping when extruded in the screw. The organic silicon content is about 50%.
The main functions are to improve flame retardancy, reduce smoke density, and improve the impact strength of flame retardant (high filling) materials.
It has good stability and non transferability.
Typical applications: modified plastics, cable materials, elastomers, thin-walled complex parts, silicon core tubes, etc. Used in engineering plastics with high processing temperatures such as PA, PC, PPS, etc. to improve product fluidity, promote crystallization, improve surface float fibers, and increase impact strength.
